JOB SUMMARY: This position ensures accuracy through established controls and/or accounting records for receipts and/or disbursements; performs a variety of complex clerical, bookkeeping and accounting work applying established procedures to the preparations and maintenance of expenditure documents, account and other records, and prepares financial, statistical and/or other technical reports; handles daily production type work to ensure prompt and accurate payments to vendors; is responsible for ordering and receiving all materials purchased by the school; performs other business office related tasks as directed.

$22.10-$24.60/hour depending on experience

Job Requirements
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION LEVEL: Prefer 2 or 4 year degree in accounting or business related field.
SKILL LEVEL: Proficiency in Microsoft Office with an emphasis in Excel; strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles; knowledge of accounting software; data entry and general mathematical skills; ability to analyze information, paying special attention to detail ; ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet stringent deadlines.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have the ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time; exhibit manual dexterity to use phone and computer; see and read computer screen and printed material with or without visual aids; hear and understand speech at normal office levels and on phone; and, to bend, stoop, climb stairs, walk and reach overhead. Must have the ability to lift and move boxes and equipment up to 50 pounds.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Usually works indoors in a climate controlled environment. Some duties may occasionally be performed outdoors or away from school.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Prepares, processes, and/or posts any or all of the following transactions as related to specific assignments: requisitions, purchase orders, vouchers, receipts, disbursements, correspondence, and related operating or management records.
2. Organizes and processes purchase orders and requisitions. Orders supplies and equipment.
3. Receives and checks in all packages received by district. Sorts and distributes packages to proper department and teacher. Follows up on damages, shortages, and incomplete orders.
4. Prepares documents for payment. Processes invoices, purchase orders, direct payment, utilities, etc. for payment.
5. Analyzes monthly vendor statements and maintains frequent contract with vendors to ensure accounts are current. Analyzes reports for accuracy in account/invoice/payment information. Analyzes and resolves discrepancies that occur with vendor accounts.
6. Prints checks and prepares electronic transfers for processing as needed.
7. Writes receipts, counts money and checks and prepares deposits. Prepares cash boxes for district events.
8. Practices acceptable communication skills for daily transacting of information through telephone conversations, personal contacts and mailings with all office and outside sources.
9. Files and maintains records and/or reports pertinent to accounting and bookkeeping or technical operations.
10. Suggests and initiates modifications to improve workflow and procedures.
11. Performs general office duties such as word processing, data entry, copying, answering phones, etc. to maintain smooth operation of the office.
12. Maintains accurate, complete and correct records as required by law, District policy, and administrative regulation.
13. Continues personal professional growth and upgrading of skills.
14. Completes all trainings and other compliance requirements as assigned by designated deadline.
15. Respects and practices confidentiality both in and out of school with regard to records, activities, and communications relating to all students, parents/guardians, and staff.
16. Performs other duties as assigned.
