M.H. Eby, Inc.- a leading manufacturer of aluminum trailers and truck bodies is looking for a Buyer to support our Story City operation. This role is responsible for improving how materials are planned, purchased, and managed across the facility, with a focus on inventory performance and effective use of our ERP system.

This position plays a key role in improving inventory management and strengthening how systems support daily operations. The right candidate will have the opportunity to make meaningful, measurable improvements to the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage purchasing and material flow for assigned products and suppliers
- Coordinate with production, engineering, and sales to align supply with demand
- Improve inventory accuracy and reduce shortages, excess, and variability
- Identify and address gaps in planning, purchasing, and inventory processes
- Support and drive consistent, practical use of ERP tools within operations
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to improve reliability, cost, and lead times
Qualifications
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability with a focus on root cause and process improvement
- Comfortable working in both system-based and hands-on shop floor environments
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication across departments and with external suppliers
- Willingness to challenge existing processes and contribute to operational improvement
Experience in purchasing, inventory management, or manufacturing environments is preferred. A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.
