Position Overview
Gil Haugan Construction is seeking a Cabinet Project Manager to manage custom cabinet and millwork scope within GHC’s construction project framework. This role oversees cabinet projects from preconstruction through fabrication, installation, and closeout—ensuring alignment with overall project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
The Cabinet Project Manager works closely with GHC Project Managers, Superintendents, Estimating, and the Cabinet Shop to deliver projects that reflect our core values: Genuine, Hardworking, and Committed.
Key Responsibilities
- Review drawings and specifications to define cabinet scope and feasibility.
- Prepare proposals and scope clarifications.
- Coordinate selections, materials, and procurement planning.
- Manage cabinet scope from award through installation and closeout.
- Develop and maintain production schedules aligned with the master project schedule.
- Oversee/produce shop drawings, submittals, approvals, and revisions.
- Coordinate with shop production to confirm lead times.
- Track job costs, labor, materials, and change orders.
- Serve as the primary contact for cabinet-related communication.
- Provide schedule and budget updates to internal teams and clients.
- Ensure quality control standards are met through fabrication and installation.
- Oversee punch list completion and closeout documentation.
Qualifications
- Experience in cabinet, millwork, or woodworking production.
- Construction project management or trade scope management experience.
- Ability to read architectural drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in Cabinet Vision (or similar); CNC knowledge preferred.
- Strong organizational, budgeting, and communication skills.
