Job Description
Mount Marty University invites applications for a Campus Safety Officer (CSO). This position may be structured as either a non-exempt, full-time, benefits-eligible role or as a part-time, non-benefits-eligible position, depending on the needs of the department and the selected candidate's availability.
Campus Safety Officers (CSO) will assist in providing safety to individuals on campus property and maintaining the security of campus buildings, facilities, parking lots, walkways, and grounds of the University. CSOs provide escort services and other safety services as needed and perform routine security and public safety patrol duties to maintain a safe environment for Mount Marty University and Sacred Heart Monastery. Officers must remain alert to all unusual activity especially emergency situations and provide first-line response, emergency management and/or referral if necessary. Campus Safety Officers (CSO) must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time and operate security systems; the duties assigned are completed by foot patrol. The working hours for CSOs are 12 AM to 8 AM. Applicants are required to pass a standard background check.
