Job Description
Prepare concrete beds and build forms by blueprint. Prepare or remat beds to ensure smooth accurate concrete finishes. Pull up forms as needed. May assist other craft workers as directed by supervision.
Essential Functions
- Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in the production of pre-stress and precast concrete products; perform manual work in preparing surfaces and forms.
- Accurately measure using feet and inches and transfer information to materials
- Operate basic carpentry tools effectively and safely.
- Perform basic fiberglass process with specific directions.
- Read and follow blueprints.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures and safety requirements.
- Previous Carpentry experience strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of proper use, installation, repair and maintenance of equipment used in concrete production work.
- Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.
- Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
- Ability to lift, push, pull or carry objects.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds regularly, 40 pounds frequently and 100 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions, including heat and cold.
- Ability to walk on uneven surfaces, climb ladders and work on platforms and in high places.
- Requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination.
- Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.

- Ability to comply with all company policies, procedures and safety requirements.

- Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work.
Work Context
- Regularly works near moving objects and in climate conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and concrete.
- Noise levels vary within facility. Hearing protection may be required in loud areas.
- Occasionally required to wear fall protection equipment and/or half mask respirator. Required to wear a respirator when working with fiberglass materials.
- Safety/Steel toe boots, hard hats and safety glasses required.
