Denning Companies is recruiting experienced Class A CDL drivers from the Sioux Falls, South Dakota area for over-the-road driving opportunities with our asset-based trucking operation, Silver Creek Carriers.
Our trucking operation is based in Chancellor, South Dakota, and we're looking to connect with dependable, safety-minded drivers throughout the Sioux Falls region who are interested in percentage-based compensation, flexible home time, and long-haul driving opportunities.
This is an over-the-road driving position, not a daily commute to Chancellor. Dispatch arrangements and equipment pickup or return requirements will be discussed during the hiring process.
Compensation & Benefits
- Percentage-based compensation, earning up to 26% of gross freight revenue.
- Compensation varies based on freight hauled, loads completed, and applicable driver pay arrangements.

Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles on assigned over-the-road routes.
- Transport freight according to scheduled pickup and delivery requirements.
- Properly secure freight and perform tarping when required.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintain accurate electronic driver logs and transportation records.
- Follow DOT regulations and company safety procedures.
- Communicate regularly with dispatch regarding freight assignments, schedules, and delivery updates.
- Report maintenance concerns, delays, and equipment issues promptly.
- Provide professional service to customers and shipping partners.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Previous commercial truck driving experience; two or more years preferred.
- Acceptable driving record.
- Ability to meet applicable DOT requirements and required screenings.
- Experience with freight securement and tarping preferred.
- Strong commitment to safe driving and dependable service.
- Willingness to perform over-the-road assignments with flexible home-time arrangements.
