Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)/Registered Medication Aide

$2,500 retention bonus available for eligible full-time hires!
Pay:
- CNA/Registered Medication Aide: $19.00–$23.50 per hour.
Starting pay is based on Bethany’s established wage scale and credited years of relevant experience. Shift and weekend differentials provide additional pay.
Shifts available:
- Days: 6 a.m.–2 p.m. or 6 a.m.–6 p.m.
- Evenings: 2 p.m.–10 p.m.
- Overnights: 10 p.m.–6 a.m. or 6 p.m.–6 a.m.
Full-time and part-time positions available. Every other weekend is required.
Bethany Home Brandon is hiring CNAs who are also Registered Medication Aides to care for residents in our skilled nursing community. You’ll help residents with daily routines, administer medications under nurse delegation, get to know their preferences, and work with the nursing team to meet their care needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and other personal care.
- Help residents move, transfer, and reposition safely according to their care plans.
- Assist with meals, eating, and hydration as needed.
- Administer medications as delegated by a licensed nurse, following medication orders and facility procedures.
- Accurately document medication administration and report medication concerns to the nurse.
- Observe residents and promptly report changes or concerns to the nurse.
- Accurately document the care provided.
- Help keep resident rooms, equipment, and shared spaces clean and safe.
- Support residents’ participation in activities and daily routines.
- Respect each resident’s privacy, dignity, independence, and personal preferences.
- Work with nurses and fellow aides to provide consistent care.
Qualifications
- Current South Dakota CNA certification.
- Current medication aide registration with the South Dakota Board of Nursing.
- Strong attention to detail and safe medication administration practices.
- Patience, dependability, and an interest in caring for older adults.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Availability to work every other weekend and the shift for which you are hired.
