Job Description
The City of Flandreau, SD is seeking a full time Police Officer. Flandreau, a community of approximately 2,500 people, has a progressive Police Department responsible for performing general law enforcement activities within the City of Flandreau. Duties may include but are not limited to the following:
- General patrol
- Enforce federal, state and local laws and ordinances
- Preserve peace and protect life and property
- Respond to calls for service and emergency assistance
- Provide Code Enforcement for the community
Job Requirements
Must be twenty-one (21) years of age
Possess high school diploma or GED certification
Certified by or ability to obtain certification by the South Dakota Law Enforcement Training Academy within one (1) year of hire date
Passing score on written exam, interview and background investigation
Must be a U.S. citizen and possess a valid driver's license
