Job Description
Trinity Learning Center is a Christian based daycare and preschool located between Hartford and Sioux Falls.
We have positions available for full-time and part-time staff. Hours ranging from 6:15am-6pm. No nights, No weekends, Major Holidays Off! Flexible scheduling, PTO and Paid Holidays after 90 days, Employee discount for Childcare, and Supplimental Insurance available through Aflac. After a year of Employment, Accident and Vision Insurance is covered by the Center.
This person is responsible for providing support in the child care center setting by participating and assisting in the activities of Trinity Learning Center that provide opportunities for the child’s emotional, intellectual, social, spiritual and physical growth.
Physical Requirements:
The care worker must be able to lift of to 60 pounds, sit on the floor or low child size chairs, walk and run short distances, and walk long distances (several city blocks). The care worker may be required to remain outside in all types of weather conditions (hot, humid, cold, breezy, etc.) for short and long periods of time, stand for long periods of time, and bend frequently. The person must be agile enough to move quickly in response to children’s quick actions.
Principal Responsibilities Include:
• Provide care for infants and children in a day care setting.
• Participate in the children’s daily activities.
• Serve as a liaison with parents/guardians and the Day Care Director.
• Provide opportunities for the child’s emotional, intellectual, social, spiritual, and physical growth through quality programming.
• Provide opportunities that will support the independence of children, nurture a child’s positive self image, stimulate a child’s intellect, and provide for a loving, Christian atmosphere.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the Center’s facilities.
• Maintain a professional demeanor including positive and effective working relationships, and comply with applicable state and federal statutes, rule and policies in order to effectively carry out the daily functions of the Trinity Learning Center Day Care.
• Perform other work as requested by the Day Care Center Director
