Job Summary:
This position is based at TGKP Children Mental Health Centre and will provide individual, Family and group therapy for SOC Expansion population of children and families, in addition to direct services. Child and Family Therapist reports to TGKP Clinical Supervisor and Director.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The Child and Family Therapist manages a caseload of children and their families under the SOC Expansion utilizing the Tiwahe Glu Kini Pi Lakota Mental Health Wraparound Model for treatment, integrating traditional ceremony and cultural practices, along with equine therapy and western therapy, wraparound care coordination and rehabilitation counseling as needed. Provides assessment, diagnosis, individual plan for care and treatment, referrals for services, aftercare, and evaluation for eligible children. Maintains at a minimum, weekly face to face or tele-health contact and up to date confidential case documentation (EHR).
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Family Therapy, or social work degree with experience providing counseling/therapy to children with SEBD’s and caregivers, in the home, office, ranch or community-based settings, preferably with experience serving Lakota children and families. Must be licensed or pursing LPC-MH licensure.

The SGU Child and Family Therapist agrees to maintain strict confidentiality regarding FERPA, HIPAA, and the contents of all Sinte Gleska University correspondence, student records, personnel files and fiscal data.
