Responsibilities
Preschool/Toddler teacher with an emphasis on special education
- Provide exceptional care and security in a Christ-centered atmosphere
- Employ a variety of educational techniques to teach children and facilitate curriculum daily
- Organize nap and feeding times and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times
- Communicate with parents regularly
- Collaborate with other educators
- Continuing education and training, as well as networking and development
- Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards
Skills
- Proven experience in childcare and/or teaching and an expressed interest in childcare work in the area of special education
- Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
- Cool-tempered, friendly, and able to communicate effectively with parents and co-workers
- Extremely reliable
- Certification in child CPR and First Aid is preferred, but we will provide training
- Associate or Bachelor in Early Childhood Development, equivalent, or a CDA preferred, but we will provide CDA training
