GENERAL PUPOSE OF THIS POSITION:

To oversee the Golf Clubhouse and Event Center in a manner that promotes the course, and increases revenue consistently while staying in budget

To oversee the Clubhouse in a manner that promotes the course

Personnel are asked to come to work each day looking for ways to make the City of Alcester Golf Course look nicer, neater, cleaner, and more organized and in good repair

SCOPE OF THIS POSITION:

To keep the Golf Clubhouse looking its best and offering good food and beverage services

Treating Customers in a manner that is professional and friendly

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

(Major responsibilities and accomplishments expected of the position including the typical problems encountered in carrying out the elements of the job)

Market event center & book events to meet annual revenue budget

Supervise clubhouse grille staff

Maintain clubhouse rooms, equipment and furnishings

Keep golf course records on membership dues, equipment rentals, income & expenses

Collect membership dues, cart space rentals and all other fees

Transfer all monies to city office in a timely manner

Order and take delivery of all necessary food, beverages, and other supplies

Assist the staff whenever needed

Any other duties assigned by the Council to include bartending and clubhouse attendant duties

KNOWLEDGE:

Knowledge of small office equipment

Knowledge of keeping acceptable inventory levels of products

General knowledge of budgeting and revenue/expense benchmarks

SKILLS:

Ability to greet & treat customers professionally

Ability to create and utilize marketing tools effectively

Ability to maintain a cash drawer

Ability to communicate with general public and staff

WORKING CONDITIONS:

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Be able to lift up to 25 pounds

Be able to work in outdoor conditions both heat & cold

Be able to walk long distances

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

Extreme weather conditions (heat & cold)

MENTAL DEMANDS:

Maintain Calm in Crisis situations

Self-Driven / Self Motivated

Ability to operate a cash register, make change, run credit cards for transactions

Ability to maintain focus on several projects happening simultaneously and completing all that are started

SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Food safe certification preferred

Experience in event planning and marketing
