Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and detailed estimates for commercial concrete projects.
- Review project plans, specifications, and blueprints to determine construction requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to assess project scope and identify potential issues.
- Obtain and evaluate quotes from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
- Create comprehensive cost analyses and take-offs, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead.
- Coordinate with vendors to acquire necessary materials and ensure timely delivery to project sites.
- Evaluate project risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential issues.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and project-related documentation.
- Provide ongoing support to project teams, including assisting in value engineering and cost-saving initiatives.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies related to concrete estimation and construction.
Job Requirements:
- Prior experience as a Commercial Concrete Estimator or a similar role in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of commercial concrete construction methods, materials, and techniques.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications, and blueprints.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with project teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in using construction estimation software and tools.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
