Commercial Painting Foreman
Department: Commercial Painting
Salary Range: $24-30 /hr DOE
Job Summary
The Commercial Painting Foreman plays a critical leadership role in the successful execution of large-scale commercial and industrial painting projects. This position is responsible for leading crews on job sites, maintaining production schedules, upholding quality and safety standards, and working closely with the Project Manager to deliver projects on time and with excellence.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead, organize, and supervise painting crews on commercial job sites
- Hold team members accountable to daily tasks, productivity goals, and quality standards
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, patching, and priming
- Apply paints, coatings, and finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment
- Operate and maintain painting tools, equipment, and machinery
- Clean and maintain equipment and work areas using appropriate cleaning methods
- Communicate effectively with crew members, project managers, clients, and other trades on site
- Enforce safety policies, demonstrate proper safety procedures, and address job-site safety concerns
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support project success
Required Skills/Abilities
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and job specifications
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
- Strong teamwork mindset and positive attitude
- Experience operating lifts (scissor lifts, boom lifts, etc.)
- Ability to follow directions and company procedures
- Professional, friendly demeanor with strong communication skills
- Proficient in the safe and efficient use of hand and power tools
Physical & General Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs of equipment and materials
- Comfortable working at heights up to 50 feet on ladders, lifts, or roofs
- Ability to kneel, bend, and perform repetitive motions
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Willingness and ability to wear a respirator and required personal protective equipment
- Must be 18 years of age or older
