Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 Annual Salary, depending on qualifications

Governor Rhoden's office is seeking a Communications Specialist to join a dynamic communications team. The Governor's mission is to keep South Dakota strong, safe, and free. Day-to-day responsibilities will include advancing the Governor's conservative principles to achieve this mission by generating and managing social media content, traveling with the Governor to events, creating photo and video content, and various writing assignments as necessary. This individual will report to Governor Rhoden's Director of Communications but will also interact with the Governor on a frequent basis and work closely with the Governor's Press Secretary.
There will be a considerable amount of travel required with this position. Most of the travel will be in state, but there may be some sporadic out-of-state travel as well.
The Ideal Candidate Will Be:- a proficient photographer; be a strong writer; will have experience operating multiple social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and X; will have expertise with the Adobe suite; and will be able to cut and edit video to serve a variety of needs.
