Cook for Childcare Center

Come join us as our Cook, preparing and serving nutritious meals for 60–90 children each day in our recently remodeled commercial kitchen!

Position Details:

• Hours: 30–32 hrs/week, 7:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.

• Environment: Christ-centered, family-like atmosphere

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve breakfast, snacks, and lunch for 60–90 children, following our monthly menu and Food & Nutrition Guidelines

• Order food and supplies for planned menus

• Learn and follow the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and Health & Safety Regulations (training provided)

• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and food service areas

• Interact positively with children of various ages

• Transport elementary children to school using a 15-passenger van

• Complete 10 hours of yearly in-service training, including CPR, First Aid, Fire Safety, and CACFP training

We’d love to hear from you if you:

• Have cooking experience

• Have a servant’s heart and a desire to be a Christ-like role model for children, families, and co-workers

• Can lift, bend, stoop, stretch, and stand for extended periods

• Can pass a Child Abuse/Neglect Screening and Criminal Background Check

• 18+ years old and have High School Diploma or GED

• We'll be super excited if you are 21+ with a valid driver’s license and willing to occasionally transport kids driving a 15-passenger van
