Starting wage: $23.10-$25.50. Wage is negotiable for candidates with valuable education and/or experience. This role is eligible for incentive and bonus opportunities.
Location: Office space is available in the following areas: Rapid City, Box Elder/EAFB, Hill City, or Custer

What You’ll Do
Underwrite, with guidance, both complex and non-complex commercial and agricultural credit opportunities.
Gather, consolidate, and analyze financial data to develop well-supported recommendations.
Draft detailed credit memorandums and identify risks, strengths, and mitigants.
Present analysis and recommendations to credit administration; participate in negotiations regarding structure, pricing, and risk considerations.
Partner closely with lenders, credit staff, and other business professionals to verify information and ensure accuracy.
Participate in member conversations, calls, and site visits as needed.
Serve as a control point in the loan approval process, ensuring adherence to credit policy and loan covenants.
Track loan compliance, covenant monitoring, borrowing base certificates, and financial reporting using the lending tickler system.
Assist with audits, exams, stress testing, risk reviews, and other analytical projects.
Maintain knowledge of commercial law, UCC, SBA/USDA requirements, and banking regulations.
Support loan closing activities when needed.
Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
Provide exceptional member service within the credit analysis function.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Who You Are
You pay close attention to detail and enjoy analyzing complex information.
You communicate clearly and professionally—both in writing and in person.
You’re comfortable asking questions, collaborating, and seeking clarity when needed.
You enjoy working in a team environment and supporting lenders with accurate, timely analysis.
You have strong financial comprehension, including interpreting tax returns, financial statements, and cash flow.
You have 1+ year of experience in commercial or agricultural credit underwriting (preferred).
You’re 18 or older, with a valid driver’s license.
You have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or equivalent experience (preferred).
You’re analytical, curious, and eager to grow in your credit career.
