Job Description
Business Analyst
Employment Type: Full-Time (Remote, U.S. only)
About Anytime Fitness
Anytime Fitness is the world’s largest 24/7 fitness-club franchise, with thousands of locations across the United States and worldwide.
As part of our corporate / support-office team, we support franchisees, operations, finance, marketing, and more — fueling growth, consistency across clubs, and continuous improvement. We value data-driven decisions, operational excellence, and strategic insight as we expand and evolve.
Position Summary
As a Business Analyst at Anytime Fitness, you will play a central role in transforming data and business operations into actionable insights. Working remotely (U.S.-based), you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams — including Operations, Finance, Franchise Support, Marketing, and Club Performance — to analyze performance metrics, track key business indicators, support strategic decisions, and help drive process improvements and growth initiatives.
Your analysis will support franchise performance, corporate planning, and operational efficiency across our network.
Key Responsibilities
Gather, collate, and analyze data from multiple sources (club performance metrics, membership data, financial reports, operations data) to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
Develop, maintain, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to track business performance, club performance, membership growth/retention, revenue, and other relevant metrics.
Translate complex data into clear, actionable reports and insights for leadership, franchise support teams, and decision makers.
Work closely with Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Franchise Support teams to support business planning, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic initiatives.
Support business cases for new projects, expansions, or strategic changes — providing data-driven recommendations and impact analysis.
Identify inefficiencies or gaps in processes across clubs and corporate operations; propose and help implement process improvements.
Support ad-hoc analysis and reporting requests from stakeholders; ensure data integrity and accuracy.
Participate in special projects — for example: club performance reviews, expansion analytics, market analysis, member behavior studies, or cost/benefit analysis of new programs or services.
Ensure compliance with data privacy, confidentiality, and internal standards when handling member, club, or financial data.
Required Qualifications
Must currently reside in and be eligible to work in the United States.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Statistics, or related field.
2+ years of business analysis, financial analysis, data analytics, or similar experience (preferably in franchises, membership-based businesses, retail, or service industry).
Strong analytical skills, data-driven mindset, and ability to work with large datasets.
Proficiency in data tools and spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets), and familiarity with BI tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Looker) or willingness to learn.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills — able to translate data into clear business insights and present to stakeholders.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.
Comfortable working remotely and collaborating with distributed teams across departments and locations.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the fitness, wellness, franchise, or multi-location retail/service industry.
Prior experience working with club performance data, membership metrics, or similar recurring-revenue business models.
Familiarity with financial and operational metrics relevant to fitness clubs (member retention, membership growth, utilization, revenue per member, cost/performance metrics).
Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) or database/SQL skills.
Strong business acumen and ability to think strategically about business growth, member behavior, and operational efficiency.
What We Offer
Fully remote work (U.S.-based team) — flexibility and work-life balance.
Opportunity to work within the corporate structure of a leading global fitness franchise.
A mission-driven environment: contribute to building healthier communities and supporting fitness and wellness worldwide.
Engagement with diverse teams (operations, finance, marketing, franchise support) — broad exposure and growth potential.
Meaningful responsibility and impact — your analyses will inform real decisions about club performance, business expansion, and strategic initiatives.
Competitive compensation, benefits, and potential for professional development (depending on company policy and role level).
