Job Description
We’re looking for a dependable, team-oriented Cook to join our dietary team! This position is responsible for preparing and serving nutritious, appealing meals for our residents in accordance with dietary guidelines and established menus.
Schedule: Day shift (typically 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM or 6 AM-2:00PM) — full-time, includes every other weekend rotation and every other holiday
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook meals according to menus, recipes, and dietary requirements
Ensure food is properly stored, handled, and prepared safely
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and food storage areas
Work cooperatively with dietary aides and other team members
Assist with inventory and supply ordering as needed
Qualifications:
Previous cooking experience preferred (healthcare or institutional setting a plus)
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
Ability to follow recipes and serve meals on schedule
Dependable, positive attitude, and enjoys serving older adults
