Responsibilities
Daycare and Micro School Principal. This is an operations management position that supervises multiple rooms.
- Supervise, mentor, and train staff to adhere to company policies and procedures and to provide exceptional care and communication with parents and co-workers
- Implement ownership's vision and policies, working closely with ownership to facilitate the values, mission, collaboration, and policies of the company
- Ensure smooth child transitions through close collaboration with parents and other teachers, ensuring each child's autonomy and independence and facilitating a positive relationship with the child, teacher, and parent
- Provide leadership to staff by setting the example and through mentorship in a professional manner
- Act as a liaison between parents, ownership, and staff when issues arise in a professional manner
- Develop and maintain the utmost professional and positive culture, communication, and interactions with staff and families
Supervise, train, and mentor staff to facilitate the following, while leading by example:
- Provide exceptional care and security in a Christ-centered atmosphere
- Employ a variety of educational techniques to teach children and facilitate curriculum daily
- Communicate with parents regularly
- Collaborate with other educators
- Conduct daily activities and communication in the utmost professional manner
- Continuing education and training, as well as networking and continued professional development
- Maintain a clean and tidy center consistent with health and safety standards
Skills
- Proven experience in childcare and an expressed long-term interest in a career in childcare work
- Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
- Cool-tempered, friendly, professional, and able to communicate effectively in a professional manner with parents,co-workers, management, and ownership
- Extremely reliable, positive work ethic
- Professional communication and demeanor
- Proven skills and experience in business management and human resources
- Certification in child CPR and First Aid is preferred, but we will provide training
- Associate or Bachelor in Early Childhood Development or a CDA preferred, however we are willing to provide CDA training to the right candidate
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Ability to stand for prolonged period of time
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
