Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Dental Assistant who is confident in surgical dentistry and values working in a well-established, structured clinical environment. This role supports our doctors directly and contributes to the smooth, efficient operation of a busy practice with long-standing systems and protocols in place.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and collaborative—someone who takes pride in consistency, quality care, and supporting both patients and teammates. Key Responsibilities

· Review patient medical histories and document medications, conditions, and alerts; communicate concerns to the doctor in a timely manner

· Prepare and break down operatories and instruments, ensuring accurate and thorough clinical charting

· Provide chairside assistance during dental and surgical procedures

· Capture clear, diagnostic-quality CBCT and panoramic radiographs

· Educate patients on procedures, medications, and comprehensive pre- and post-operative instructions

· Clean, sterilize, and maintain instruments and treatment areas in accordance with infection control standards

· Monitor and maintain clinical inventory to ensure appropriate supply levels

· Provide support to front office staff as needed to promote efficient daily operations

· Anticipate procedural needs and follow established assisting protocols to support an efficient schedule

· Perform basic equipment checks and report maintenance needs to ensure uninterrupted clinical flow

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· Solid understanding of dental terminology and clinical workflows

· Experience assisting with implant dentistry, including All-on-Four and overdenture procedures

· Proficient in taking alginate impressions

· Knowledgeable in OSHA regulations and infection control procedures

· Committed to HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality

· Skilled in obtaining CBCT and panoramic imaging

· Professional, calm, and patient-focused demeanor

· Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively in an established clinical environment

· Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently

· Clear communicator with a positive and professional presence

Qualifications

· Current BLS certification

· Valid dental X-ray certification

· Experience with wax try-ins and locator ring replacement

· Experience with Dentrix software preferred
