Scheduling Coordinator / Patient Experience Expert – Gretna, NE
Neighborhood Dental in Gretna, NE is growing, and we’re looking for an amazing addition to our team!

We’re looking for a Scheduling Coordinator / Patient Experience Expert who brings a great attitude, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced dental office.
The ideal candidate is a team player who is self-motivated, hardworking, eager to learn, and able to confidently juggle multiple priorities. If you can multitask like a ninja while keeping patients feeling welcomed and cared for, we’d love to meet you!
What You’ll Do:
As a key member of our front office team, you’ll help ensure our patients have an exceptional experience from the moment they contact us through their visit and follow-up.
Your responsibilities could include:
- Managing and coordinating multiple provider schedules in a busy dental office
- Providing friendly, professional, and outstanding customer service to every patient
- Creating a welcoming and positive environment for patients and team members
- Monitoring the daily schedule to help providers meet their goals
- Ensuring the team follows established patient follow-up procedures
- Answering incoming calls and helping patients with their needs
- Making outgoing calls, emails, and text messages regarding appointments
- Scheduling checkups, dental treatment, and follow-up appointments
- Monitoring and responding to office voicemails, emails, and text messages
- Responding to online appointment requests and social media inquiries
- Confirming patient appointments
- Verifying pre-medications when needed
- Checking patients in and out
- Collecting and accurately entering patient payments
- Keeping patient records current, including contact information and insurance
- Scanning identification, insurance cards, and required paperwork
- Helping patients schedule appointments with specialists when needed
- Creating and submitting accurate dental insurance claims
- Verifying dental insurance benefits and updating insurance plan information
- Maintaining accurate reports and completing data entry
- Following HIPAA requirements and maintaining patient confidentiality
- Helping train and encourage new team members
- Working with other team members to continually improve the patient experience and office processes
- Participating in regularly scheduled department meetings
- Keeping patient common areas clean, organized, and welcoming
What We’re Looking For:
Required or preferred experience includes:
- At least 1 year of dental front office experience
- At least 2 years of customer service experience
- Experience working in a healthcare-related environment is a plus
- Comfortable managing multi-line phone systems
- Knowledge of dental terminology
- Experience with Dentrix Ascend is preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment
- Positive attitude and professional demeanor
- Dependable, hardworking, and willing to learn
- A genuine desire to help patients
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Schedule
Full-Time:
- Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM–2:00 PM
- Location: Neighborhood Dental – Gretna, NE
Part-time candidates will also be considered.
