Job Description

General Statement of Duties:

  • Performs duties assigned by the Auditor

  • Services the public at the counter

  • Prepares vouchers

  • Prepares payroll and other authorized payments

  • Prepares periodic reports

  • Registers voters

  • Manages employee personnel files

  • Manages fringe benefits for employees

  • Updates hiring/firing procedures

  • Updates employee handbook policies as needed

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Assumes the responsibility for the operation of the office in the Auditor’s absence

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.

  • Must be able to type and perform mathematical calculations in an efficient manner

  • Must be able to operate office equipment (including a computer)

Other Qualifications:

  • Must be able to meet and deal with the public in a friendly, helpful manner.

  • Must be able to pass a pre-hire drug test
