Deputy County Engineer or Assistant County Engineer
The Nobles County Highway Department is currently accepting applications for one of the following full time positions:
- Deputy County Engineer (Pay Grade 18: $40.80 - $51.42/hour – eligible for OT)
- Assistant County Engineer (Pay Grade 16: $36.31 - $45.76/hour – eligible for OT)
Both positions are non-exempt, eligible for Overtime; notable OT is available during construction season.
The position is responsible for a broad range of duties providing assistance to the County Engineer in administration, supervision, and directing activities of the Engineering Department to ensure smooth operations. Oversees construction and maintenance projects through all phases, from early concept, funding, design, construction, and project closeout. Directs multiple projects simultaneously.
