Job Description
The Edmunds County Sheriff's Office is seeking a responsible individual as a full-time deputy sheriff. Applicants must be 21 years of age, have a valid driver's license, be able to pass a background check, and pass a drug test. Applicants must be of good moral character. Starting wage for deputy sheriff is $58,128 per year after a probationary period. Opportunities for overtime are available.
A certified officer is preferred but we are willing to train the right uncertified candidate. Our ideal candidate would be a self motivated go getter with a knack for drug and criminal interdiction.
Benefits include health insurance, paid time off, longevity pay, and sick leave. State retirement is included. Hours of employment have flexible scheduling and rotating shift work.
