Job Description

At BANISH Suppressors, we are customer-oriented, driven to get things done, and committed to excellence in everything we do. As a Design Engineer Intern, you will support the engineering team in the development and improvement of firearm suppressors, components, and related accessories while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced, precision-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help transfer data from one software to another

  • Updating legacy designs to the latest internal standards

  • Assist in creating and modifying new designs using CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)

  • Support prototyping, testing, and evaluation of suppressors and related components

  • Help prepare and maintain engineering drawings and technical documentation

  • Participate in design reviews and collaborate with manufacturing and other internal teams

  • Assist with product research, including materials, manufacturing methods, and market trends

  • Support hands-on activities such as assembly, inspection, and basic measurements

  • Contribute to continuous improvement and cost reduction efforts

  • Provide general support across engineering projects as needed

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

  • Basic knowledge of CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)

  • Familiarity with mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes is a plus

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

  • Interest in firearms, suppressors, or the outdoor industry preferred

  • Willingness to learn testing methods and engineering tools

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Strong communication and organizational skills
