The primary role of this position will be to ensure the community based developmental disabilities system continues to progressively evolve with the changing needs of South Dakotans with ID/DD.
This Human Services Program Assistant will contribute to the work of DDD by supporting provider quality oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist DDD program professionals with operational processes related to service authorization, service change requests, provider onboarding. Monitors processes to ensure all required steps and documentation are completed in compliance with program guidelines.
- Support DDD in gathering and standardizing data to support compliance, analysis, and reporting, and manages data collection systems.
- Performs other work as assigned.
- This position requires some in-state travel.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:Knowledge of:
- work processes pertaining to public administration and management;
- applicable computer software and operating systems;
- services and supports for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- the principles and practices of effective supervision.
Ability to:
- m ust have excellent communication and organizational skills;
- d emonstrate experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook;
- h andle multiple priorities, sometimes with conflicting deadlines;
- d emonstrate strong attention to detail; and
- independently manage and prioritize workload.
