Job Description
                        Works under the cook in absence of the dietary manager. This individual will operate the dish machine following established policy and procedure to wash, unload and put away resident tray assembly. Individual will assist in serving resident meals, tray assembly, dietary supplements, clearing and washing dining tables, disposing of refuse and the general cleaning of the kitchen as scheduled.
Essential Duties:
- Read communication book.
 - First put hairnet on and wash hands.
 - Set up dish room- tub for silverware, tub for dishes.
 - Wash tables before setting, wash dishes, clean as needed.
 - Set tables- napkin or tablecloth, fork, spoon, knife, soup spoon- place under flap of napkin (depending on meal- ask cook).
 - Check and fill salt and pepper containers, sugar, jelly, etc.
 - Set out ice water
 - Serve special drinks and regular drinks first, going by table number of the day, then help cook deliver rest of dinner plates.
 - Help clear tables/ wipe tables.
 - Wash dishes- make sure to write temp down and do test strip at the end of doing dishes.
 - Take out garbage.
 - Sweep dining room and kitchen.
 - Mop kitchen floors.
