Dietary Aide – Part-Time

Pay:
- Dietary Aide: $16–$17 per hour.
Starting pay is based on Bethany’s established wage scale and credited years of relevant experience. Weekend differentials provide additional pay.
Shifts available:
Bethany Home Sioux Falls is hiring a Dietary Aide to help serve meals to residents in our skilled nursing community. You’ll help prepare the dining room, serve meals, and keep the kitchen and dining areas clean while getting to know our residents.
Responsibilities
- Set up dining areas and prepare meal trays.
- Serve food and beverages according to residents’ meal plans and dietary instructions.
- Assist with basic food preparation and portioning.
- Clear tables, wash dishes, and clean kitchen equipment and work areas.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection prevention procedures.
- Report residents’ meal concerns or requests to the appropriate staff.
- Respect each resident’s privacy, dignity, and personal preferences.
- Work with dietary and nursing staff to support a smooth meal service.
Qualifications
- Dependability and a willingness to learn.
- An interest in working with older adults.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow dietary instructions and food safety procedures.
- Availability to work 4–8 p.m., most weekends, and a few weekday shifts.
