Job Title: Dietary Cook
Shift Available: Full Time 6AM - 2:30PM. Must be available every other weekend.
Pay starting range of $16.50 - $18.50 and is decided based on years of experience.
Our goal is to provide our residents with a homelike environment which includes all the comforts, taste, and aroma of home cooked meals. We are seeking a FULL-TIME COOK to assist us in meeting this standard of dietary service for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
- Ensure food is served at the right temperature and in an appealing manner.
- Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
- Assist in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required.
- Assist in the ordering and receiving of all food and supplies as required.
- Assist with special dietary requests and accommodate residents' needs.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience as a Cook, preferably in a healthcare or senior living setting preferred.
- Must have patience, tact, enthusiasm and positive attitude towards the elderly and disabled
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
- Knowledge of dietary restrictions and the ability to accommodate special diets.
- Flexibility in scheduling to cover both day and evening shifts.
- Culinary training or certification is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to food safety.
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
- Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods.
- Must be capable of performing the essential functions of the job.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
