Position Overview
Michels Communications Corporation is seeking a driven, results-oriented Account Executive to grow both our digital and print marketing divisions.
This role is focused on helping businesses generate high-quality leads, increase visibility, and drive measurable revenue through integrated marketing solutions—not just traffic or impressions.
You will work directly with business owners and decision-makers to develop and implement strategic campaigns that combine intent-driven digital marketing with high-impact print exposure.

Google Search
Google Local Service Ads (LSA)
Google Performance Max (PMax)
Display & Retargeting
Streaming TV (Hulu & OTT platforms)
Paid Social (Meta platforms)
Print Advertising across Michels publications
The ideal candidate understands how to align brand awareness (print) with lead generation (digital), and is comfortable guiding clients toward strategies that produce real business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
Identify and pursue new marketing partnerships across both print and digital
Prospect and build relationships with local and regional businesses
Schedule and lead meetings with business owners and decision-makers
Present integrated marketing strategies focused on awareness, lead generation, and ROI
Marketing Strategy Consultation
Understand client business models, goals, and customer value
Develop customized strategies using a mix of:
High-intent digital platforms (Google Search, LSA, PMax)
Retargeting and paid social campaigns
Streaming/OTT platforms like Hulu
Print publications for brand awareness and market positioning
Educate clients on the relationship between brand awareness and lead generation
Align budget, targeting, messaging, and media mix with business goals
Account Management
Build and maintain long-term client relationships
Act as the primary point of contact for both print and digital clients
Ensure campaigns are aligned with strategy and performance expectations
Provide ongoing communication, insights, and recommendations
Campaign Coordination
Collaborate with internal digital strategists, designers, and editorial teams
Ensure landing pages, creative, and messaging align across all channels
Help guide optimization based on performance data (GA4, conversion tracking, etc.)
Communicate updates, adjustments, and results to clients
Sales Planning & Goal Achievement
Meet or exceed monthly and annual revenue targets across print and digital
Maintain an active pipeline of prospects and opportunities
Track activity, proposals, and closed business within CRM
Consistently follow up and move opportunities forward
Community & Market Presence
Represent Michels Communications in the Rapid City, SD business community
Attend networking events and industry functions
Build relationships that lead to long-term partnerships
Qualifications
Required:
2–5+ years of experience in sales, marketing, or business development
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to confidently present strategies and close business
Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset
Ability to manage multiple clients and opportunities simultaneously
Preferred:
Experience in digital marketing, media sales, or advertising
Familiarity with Google Ads, paid social, or print media
Understanding of conversion tracking, lead generation, and ROI
Existing relationships within the local business community
