Job Description
HIRING RANGE DOQ: Friday, August 29, 2025
DEADLINE FOR FILING: $3,012.80 - $3,336.80 bi-weekly
JOB SUMMARY
Lead digital content creation and social media strategy for assigned accounts while supervising a team that helps connect the City with its 200,000+ residents. Develop and manage comprehensive digital strategies—from helping families navigate city services to coordinating timely emergency communications.
This goes far beyond typical social media management—it's work that genuinely helps people. When street construction starts on a major route, you and your team create posts that help commuters plan alternate routes. When the city budget gets approved, your content helps families understand why their neighborhood park is getting new equipment. You'll create content explaining what permits residents need and why, helping them navigate the process.
As a supervisor, you'll lead and develop a digital content team while collaborating closely with the Digital Communications Manager and senior leadership. As a working supervisor, you'll balance hands-on content creation with team leadership—creating key content yourself while assigning projects, reviewing work quality, and helping team members develop their skills in municipal communications.
If you're ready to use your communications expertise where it truly matters—helping neighbors stay safe, informed, and engaged in their community—this role offers the perfect blend of creative content work and meaningful leadership.

Must possess or be able to obtain prior to hire a valid driver’s license.
Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as required.
