Founded in 2005, Mickelson & Company is tax-motivated capital advisory firm with a team of 12 professionals based in Sioux Falls, SD. We specialize in the monetization of federal and state tax credits for the railroad and renewable energy industries. Director – Finance (Railroads)
Responsibilities:
- Manage analysts to support a 6-8 person rail team
- Process tax credit transfer and closing transactions efficiently and accurately (hundreds of transactions annually, multiple steps)
- Modify contract language
- Support grant applications
- Work with state agencies and tax authorities
- Coordinate complete and accurate documentation/diligence files
- Communicate effectively – written and verbal
- Comfortable asserting priorities and moving things along
- Establishing and holding accountable to deadlines
- Strong relationship skills with customers and counter-parties
- Research skills
