JOB SUMMARY:

Cresten Capital is seeking a dynamic, hands-on Director of Marketing to serve as the marketing resource across its portfolio of companies. This individual will be a strategic thinker and a skilled executor — responsible for building and running all marketing functions. The Director of Marketing will develop and implement marketing strategies, manage digital and traditional campaigns, oversee brand identity, and drive lead generation across multiple portfolio companies. This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and is capable owning the full marketing function from strategy through execution.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Own the full marketing function across all Cresten Capital portfolio companies — from strategy and planning through hands-on execution.

  1. Develop, implement, and continuously refine marketing strategies tailored to the unique needs and goals of each portfolio company.

  1. Plan and execute digital advertising campaigns across platforms including, but not limited to, Meta (Facebook), Google, Instagram, LinkedIn, Snapchat, and TikTok.

  1. Create compelling marketing materials including social media content, email campaigns, digital ads, print collateral, and other assets that inform, engage, and drive action.

  1. Build and manage analytics reporting across all platforms; extract actionable insights to optimize campaigns and inform future strategy.

  1. Analyze marketing performance data — including conversion rates, traffic, and ROI — and present findings and recommendations to the Executive Team.

  1. Develop and manage marketing budgets across portfolio companies; track spend and ensure campaigns deliver measurable results.

  1. Lead all lead-generation initiatives, including digital campaigns, local and regional outreach, and event-based marketing efforts.

  1. Maintain brand consistency and protect brand integrity across all channels and portfolio companies.

  1. Monitor and manage reputational risks across digital and social platforms.

  1. Manage the marketing calendar and project timelines across multiple companies, prioritizing effectively in a high-demand environment.

  1. Collaborate directly with leadership to align marketing efforts with business objectives.

  1. Stay current on consumer trends, market conditions, competitive landscape, and marketing best practices to keep strategies fresh and effective.

  1. All other duties & responsibilities as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  1. Proven ability to independently execute the full spectrum of marketing activities — strategy, content creation, advertising, analytics, and reporting.

  1. Hands-on experience managing paid campaigns on Meta, Google, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other digital platforms.

  1. Strong creative skills with the ability to develop professional, on-brand visual assets, including social graphics, email templates, digital ads, and printed materials.

  1. Proficiency in marketing software and tools, including campaign management platforms, email marketing tools, analytics dashboards, and design applications.

  1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to present results and recommendations clearly to senior leadership.

  1. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across several companies simultaneously.

  1. Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze marketing performance metrics and translate them into strategic decisions.

  1. Solid understanding of both traditional and digital marketing channels and best practices.

  1. Ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities, new information, and evolving business needs.

  1. Self-motivated and highly organized, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  1. 5+ years of proven experience in a marketing manager, marketing director, or similar senior marketing role — ideally with experience supporting multiple brands or business units.

  1. Demonstrated experience owning and executing all marketing functions independently.

  1. Experience in a private equity, investment, or multi-company portfolio environment is a plus.

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred.

  1. Knowledge of digital marketing, social media advertising, email marketing, content strategy, SEO/SEM, and analytics platforms.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Work is performed in an office setting.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Less than 10% on an annual basis.
