Director of Program Development, Occupational Therapy and Training
Call to Freedom – Sioux Falls, SD
Full-Time | Exempt

Help Survivors Rebuild Their Lives

At Call to Freedom, survivors of human trafficking find safety, healing, and the opportunity to rebuild their lives. We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate leader to design and lead innovative, trauma-informed programs that empower survivors to move toward independence and long-term stability.

This role combines program leadership, occupational therapy expertise, and training development to strengthen services that change lives every day.

What You'll Do

Program Leadership

  • Lead development and improvement of survivor programs including residential, outreach, and aftercare services
  • Ensure services are trauma-informed, survivor-centered, and culturally responsive
  • Establish program goals, outcomes, and evaluation measures

Occupational Therapy Integration

  • Integrate occupational therapy frameworks into survivor programming
  • Provide clinical guidance and oversight related to occupational therapy services
  • Support survivors in developing life skills, emotional regulation, and vocational readiness
  • Oversee occupational therapy assessments and care plans in collaboration with case managers

Training & Organizational Development

  • Develop and deliver training on human trafficking, trauma-informed care, and program implementation
  • Support staff development to ensure high-quality services

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Supervise assigned staff
  • Partner with leadership on strategic planning and program growth
  • Represent the organization in community and professional settings when appropriate

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy or related field
  • Active occupational therapy license (or eligibility) in South Dakota
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive leadership or program development experience
  • Experience in trauma-informed or survivor-centered programs preferred

Additional Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and motor vehicle insurance
  • Ability to work 40+ hours per week with flexibility based on program needs
