Job Summary:
The security guard is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the employee dormitory area and other assigned areas by conducting regular reviews and checks throughout the scheduled shift.

Responsibilities:

  • Be alert and awake during scheduled shifts; scheduled shifts are generally 7:00 pm to 3:30 am, but can change subject to business needs.
  • Patrol designated areas (dormitory, adjacent parking lot, gazebo) to deter and detect unauthorized activity.
  • Inspect doors, windows, gates, and other access points for security compliance.
  • Monitor for hazards (fire risks, leaks, unsecured areas) and report promptly.
  • Respond to emergencies by contacting the National Park Service or emergency services as needed.
  • Document all incidents, disturbances, and irregularities in shift reports; submit reports before the end of the shift.

Job Requirements
Previous security or monitoring experience is strongly preferred.
Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record for the past 3 years.
Ability to learn and use the Incident Reporting software and prepare incident reports and daily shift reports.
Ability to capture relevant factual information to properly complete reporting requirements.
Possess strong decision-making, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
Must have or be able to obtain CPR, First Aid, and AED certification through the American Heart Association.
Willing to “pitch in” and help the team with tasks.
Must be a positive team player with flexible schedules who likes to have fun and has the passion to work.
