Job Summary

The Ecommerce Specialist plays a key role in supporting the growth and optimization of our online store by enhancing site performance, user experience, and conversion. This position is responsible for the day-to-day management and continuous improvement of the ecommerce platform, including website testing, merchandising, promotions execution, analytics, and platform support. The Ecommerce Specialist works cross-functionally with developers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure new features function properly, identify opportunities for optimization, and implement solutions that improve customer journey.

The ideal candidate combines analytical thinking with technical aptitude and a strong understanding of ecommerce best practices. They are detail-oriented, proactive, and motivated to test new technologies, analyze performance data, and recommend improvements that drive measurable growth.

Job Responsibilities & Essential Functions

Website Functionality Testing & Optimization

  • Assist with testing and QA of new website features, releases, and integrations to ensure functionality works as intended

  • Monitor the end-to-end customer journey to identify usability issues, technical bugs, or conversion bottlenecks

  • Recommend and help implement solutions to improve site performance, conversion, and user experience

  • Evaluate and test new ecommerce technologies that support growth and operational efficiency

  • Collaborate with developers and third-party vendors to resolve issues and optimize platform performance

Landing Page and Product Listing Management

  • Organize on-site navigation, category structure, and merchandising strategies

  • Assist with A/B testing and conversion rate optimization (CRO) initiatives

  • Monitor customer journeys and identify friction points in the purchase funnel

Promotions Execution

  • Set up and manage promotions, discounts, bundles, and coupon logic

  • QA promotions to ensure accuracy and seamless customer experience

Analytics & Reporting

  • Monitor key ecommerce KPIs (conversion rate, AOV, revenue, traffic, abandonment rates)

  • Analyze performance data and provide actionable insights and recommendations

  • Technical & Platform Support

  • Serve as a day-to-day platform expert for the ecommerce site

  • Troubleshoot site issues related to checkout, promotions, product visibility, or integrations

Job Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, business, communications, or related field required

  • 3 - 5 years of hands-on ecommerce, digital marketing, or website management experience required

  • Google Analytics experience certification preferred

  • Familiarity with ecommerce platforms such as Magento, Shopify, BigCommerce, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, or similar. Magento experience preferred.

  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS or web markup languages preferred

  • Familiarity with Google Tag Manager a plus

  • Experience testing website functionality, features, releases, and integrations in a production or staging environment

  • Ability to troubleshoot common ecommerce issues related to checkout, promotions, product visibility, and site performance

  • Hands-on experience setting up and QA’ing promotions, discounts, bundles, and coupon logic

  • Aptitude for data analysis and ability to understand results

  • Passion for emerging technologies and researching marketing trends

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects with strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work independently to achieve goals and targets

  • Ability to organize and prioritize work

  • Ability to work in a team environment to achieve team, departmental, and corporate goals

  • Critical thinking ability - using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems

  • Ability to monitor and assess performance of self, team members and the operation to make improvements or take corrective action

Compensation and Benefits

Silencer Central offers a competitive total compensation package that includes

  • Salary: $53,800 - $63,800 DOE.
