DESCRIPTION

They also enhance spectators’ experiences at sporting events of all kinds, from Little League to the major leagues.


 


This position will work closely with Hardware Engineering group to test and qualify NPI’s, using various test methods to qualify hardware and firmware functionality.   Will work closely with Daktronics reliability lab to help facilitate HALT, ALT and EMI testing. This role will also help in the support and review of current products for engineering updates and warranty.


 


Primary work location open to Brookings, SD or Sioux Falls, SD.



  • Work closely with hardware design engineers in a team effort to verify and test new and existing designs and support existing installations.

  • Verify test, troubleshoot, and document new circuits and assemblies.

  • Support existing hardware designs and verify compatibility with new designs.

  • Test firmware for embedded designs document bugs and verify compatibility with new designs.

  • Facilitate and assist with the creation of test procedures and test fixtures.

  • Assist in the development of technical manuals and specifications.

  • Serve as the hardware design primary escalated support contact.

    • Provide assistance to manufacturing and field technicians to install, troubleshoot, test and configure assemblies and displays.



  • Actively work to facilitate knowledge transfer from engineering to service and manufacturing personnel and vice versa.

  • Manage and organize the hardware design labs, maintain a list of equipment and consumables and repair and replace as needed.

  • Work effectively as a team member work with little supervision make suggestions for process and product improvements communicate effectively with team members.

  • Complete projects with quality work in a timely manner.

  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed.

  • May include PCB design work.

REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
•Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Electronics Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology, or related.
•Experience with Daktronics products preferred.
•Good oral and written communication skills good organizational skills and self-motivation.
•Ability to travel by ground and air. Valid driver’s license and good driving record. Motor vehicle records will be checked.
•Background check will be conducted.
•Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
