Employment Specialists for the RESTART team counsel program participants, implement job development and training opportunities for participants including individuals with disabilities or participants with barriers to employment by providing them with individualized case management, establishing and determining plan compliance, and initiating and supporting actions to aid individuals or families to become more self- supporting.
Provides assessments, training site and job development, placement, work direction, coaching and support services, and counseling for individuals in need of specialized placement services and/or individuals seeking and/or receiving assistance from the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), Reemployment Services (RES), and other partner programs which strengthen families and promote employment.
Regular contact with participants to monitor and share information, work with participants to determine, and provide services, work with other state and local agencies to coordinate services, work with employers and other community partners to obtain support and services for participants and contact with a variety of training providers.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:- proficiency in computer applications and virtual communication platforms;
- strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills; and
- ability to establish rapport with individuals coming from diverse backgrounds.
Knowledge of:- interviewing, case management, and counseling techniques;
- community resources and various support services available in the local community; and
- customer service skills and motivational techniques.
Ability to:- maintain accurate records and assure case notes are entered in a timely manner;
- maintain effective communication with participants, co-workers, partner agencies;
- gather information based on customer interests and abilities, work history, education, etc. to identify employment or training goals; and
- work with customers who may have barriers to employment.
