Excavator Operator-Lead Digger for Storm/Water/Sewer

Job Description

605 Companies is looking for an experienced Excavator Operator to join our underground utilities construction team in Sioux Falls, SD. You’ll operate heavy equipment for trenching, excavation, and pipe installation while working closely with the rest of the field crew.

Responsibilities:

• Operate excavators for trenching, excavation, and underground utility work
• Excavate to grade for pipe installation
• Work closely with pipe layers and ground crews to complete projects efficiently
• Perform equipment checks and routine maintenance
• Follow job site safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of excavator operating experience; utility work preferred
• Ability to read plans and work accurately to grade
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe equipment operation
• Valid driver's license
