Position Overview:Children’s Home Society of South Dakota is seeking a Full Time Executive Assistant to provide executive support to the Chief Operating Officer. What You'll Do:- Administrative Tasks: Completes a broad variety of administrative tasks for the Chief Operating Officer including: managing an extremely active calendar of appointments; completing expense reports; composing and preparing correspondence that is sometimes confidential; arranging detailed travel plans, itineraries, and agendas.
- Communication Management: Communicates directly, and on behalf of the Chief Operating Officer, and with employees. Provides a bridge for smooth communication between the Chief Operating Officer's office and internal departments.
- Researches, prioritizes, and follows up on incoming issues and concerns addressed to the Chief Operating Officer including those of a sensitive or confidential nature. Determines appropriate course of action, referral, or response.
- Chief Operating Officer Relations: Works closely and effectively with the Chief Operating Officer to keep them well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities. Provides leadership to build relationships crucial to the success of the organization and manages a variety of special projects for the Chief Operating Officer.
- Deliverables Management: Successfully completes critical aspects of deliverables with a hands-on approach, including drafting acknowledgment letters, personal correspondence, and other tasks. Drafts speeches, creates presentation materials, monitors and creates posts for social media platforms. Prioritizes conflicting needs; handles matters expeditiously, proactively, and follows-through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures.
- Meeting Preparation: Record, maintain and distribute accurate minutes of board and committee meetings. Create agendas in conjunction with Chief Operating Officer.
- Attend required meetings and training.

Requirements
Qualifications:Education: - Bachelors degree in communications, English, or business preferred.
Experience: - 5+ years pervious experience in similar role required. Supporting high level executives preferred.
- Expert in all typically used office technology including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe as well as all online meeting platforms including Zoom and Teams.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Normal office environment. Extended periods of PC viewing and keyboarding required. Extended periods of sedentary work required.
