Senior Automation Engineer – Siemens PCS 7
Location: Sioux Falls, SD
As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting customers and project teams in Process Automation, with a strong emphasis on Siemens PCS 7 platforms. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who thrives in industrial environments, demonstrates technical leadership, and contributes to the development of sustainable automation solutions.

Provide expert-level knowledge of Siemens PCS 7 platforms, including architecture design, programming, and implementation.
Lead the design and deployment of control system architecture, including hardware, software, instrumentation, and networking.
Apply advanced knowledge of process controls, identifying parameters, managing risks, and ensuring measurable outcomes.
Interpret and apply P&IDs, instrumentation, and industrial control equipment to real-world solutions.
Develop and implement control algorithms using both analog and discrete control methods.
Independently execute advanced batch control and analog control strategies.
Lead loop checking, startup, troubleshooting, and commissioning for large-scale industrial projects.
Author and review functional requirements documents, including detailed descriptions of control loops, interlocks, and alarms.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and project team members.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree, or Associate’s degree in a related field.
Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
7–10 years of industrial controls engineering experience.
Proven expertise with Siemens PCS 7 platforms, including project execution from design through commissioning.
Demonstrated ability to lead projects and mentor engineers in a professional services environment.
