Your New Role
This position is based in Sioux Falls, SD, and is office-based first, with remote flexibility available only after tenure and trust are established. You’ll:
- Review plans and specs to build precise, competitive estimates for site development, road construction, excavation, and utility projects
- Lead the entire bid process, coordinate pricing from vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Produce clear, accurate bids for both hard bid and negotiated projects
- Mentor junior estimators and guide team success
- Collaborate with project managers and field ops to align estimating with execution
- Conduct site visits and provide insight during planning and project delivery

Job requirements
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on estimating experience in civil construction
- Proven background in site development, utility work, road construction, or heavy civil projects
- Proficiency with estimating software such as HCSS Heavy Bid, Agtek, and Planswift
- Strong leadership and communication skills to manage teams and drive results
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
