Are you a hands-on problem solver who takes pride in keeping trucks in top shape? Johnson Feed Inc. is looking for an experienced Truck and Trailer Mechanic to join our team in Waterloo, IA. Whether you're an expert with Cummins, Detroit, or CAT engines—or just passionate about diesel repair—we want to hear from you!

What You’ll Do:

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines on trucks and trailers (mainly Cummins, Detroit, and CAT).
• Perform preventive maintenance and ensure equipment stays road-ready.
• Handle a range of repairs: brakes, suspensions, hydraulics, and reefer units (experience a plus!).
• Communicate with our foreman and service team to keep everything running smoothly.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday: 7:30am -4:30pm

What We’re Looking For:

• 2+ years of hands-on diesel mechanic experience (certification or degree is a bonus).
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required).
• Confidence using diagnostic tools and reading engine codes.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail—you take pride in a job done right.
• Ability to lift/move heavy tools and parts and work in a fast-paced shop.
