Start date is August 15, 2026. Rank and salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience. Priority will be given to applications submitted on or before January 1, 2026.

In addition to serving mathematics majors, mathematics faculty collaborate closely with other departments to provide support courses for students pursuing degrees in education, healthcare, business, psychology, computer information systems, and athletic training as well as supporting the general education program. The department seeks to be flexible in serving the needs of each cohort of majors as those change over time; we maintain an ongoing commitment to preparing future high school and middle school teachers.

  • Be able to relate to students of varying abilities.
  • Have strong interest in maintaining DWU’s core values of learning, leadership, faith and service.

All candidates are encouraged to provide evidence of successful college-level teaching, including strong professor-student relationships, commitment to student development, and creative pedagogical practice. All applications must include a letter of interest, curriculum vitae, and the names and contact information (including phone numbers and email addresses) of three professional references. Original transcripts and a background check will be required before an appointment is made.
