Provides intensive, short-term mental health services for adolescents and their families.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1.Provide family therapy for adolescents and their families.
2.Provide families with an engaging and motivating experience while adhering to specific stage goals of the model.
3.Provide collateral contact with persons other than the identified child to plan appropriate treatment.
4.Participate in individual and group supervision a minimum of four (8) hours per month.
5.Document client activity in chart as required by company operating procedure.
6.Identify and coordinate services on behalf of the child and family with Behavior Management Systems continuum of care and with other child-serving agencies in the community as necessary in particular stages.
7.Operate as an effective team member on multiple levels.
8.Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in human services field.
Hand and finger dexterity for computer keyboarding. Requires prolonged sitting, standing, and frequent bending, stooping and light to moderate lifting exerting up to 25 pounds occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Ability to enter a variety of buildings, climbing and descending from multiple levels. Getting into and out of vehicles multiple times per day.
Provide comprehensive child-centered, family focused community based mental health services to children with significant mental health issues. Qualified candidates must have a Masters degree in a human services field or a BS with relevant clinical experience. No certification is required. Minimum pay for this position is $17 per hour (Masters Level) or $15 per hour with BS. This position requires evening work to accommodate families' schedules. A valid driver's license is required for this position.
