Job Description

Sioux International is a locally owned and operated Case IH dealer in Sioux Falls. We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Farm Equipment Sales Representative to join a team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of agricultural equipment, farming practices, and excellent communication and sales skills, along with the ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent the company within a defined sales territory, promoting and selling new and used farm equipment to existing and potential customers.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet sales targets and expand the customer base.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, understand their needs, and recommend appropriate equipment and solutions.
  • Offer ongoing customer support and technical assistance, including answering technical questions and addressing concerns.
  • Conduct effective product demonstrations and clinics to showcase equipment functionality and benefits.
  • Accurately complete sales paperwork, prepare contracts, and ensure timely order processing.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
  • Manage the inventory of new and used equipment and parts, ensuring efficient stock management.
  • Participate in community activities and trade shows to represent the company and build brand awareness.
  • Coordinate with billing or accounting staff to ensure accurate invoicing.

Qualifications:

  • Proven sales experience, with a focus on agricultural equipment or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of farm equipment, current technology trends, and farming practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a defined sales territory effectively.
  • Strong customer-service focus and the ability to provide exceptional support.
  • Ability to negotiate prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales agreements.
  • Knowledge of financing options to assist customers with equipment purchases.
  • Clean driving record
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM software, and general computer use.

Education:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Agribusiness, Agriculture, or a related field is preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.
