D&K Lawn Care LLC is currently looking to fill a Fertilizer Technician opening with someone who takes pride in providing excellent service. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working outdoors, is reliable, and driven to succeed. They will have a great attitude and thrive in an environment where they are rewarded for performance and empowered to succeed. Job duties will include fertilizing, applying weed control, applying pesticides, monitoring lawns for disease, and winter snow removal work. If you just want summer employment, you do not have to work our winter snow season.
Requirements
- Pesticide record keeping, and ability to read and implement pesticide labels and mix rates/charts a must
- SD Commercial Applicators License is necessary but not mandatory (must apply & obtain for the license immediately following hire)
- Must be able to read and recall regulations and procedures
- Prefer minimum 1 year of experience with a lawn or landscape company preferred, but not mandatory
- Excellent communication skills
- Good eye for detail
- Team player
- Positive and solutions-focused attitude
- Valid SD driver's license with clean driving record
- Must be able to pass a drug screening
- Be able to lift 70 pounds regularly
- Be able to carry backpack sprayers and blowers for long periods of time
