Job Description

ARC Fabricators has an immediate need to hire two Field Services tech’s. We are currently looking for an experienced Field Services tech’s with welding experience that enjoys custom steel fabrication.

Hours:
Monday – Friday 6:00am – 2:30pm 

                       

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Field Services do have a split ratio 50/50, 50% of their time is involved being out in the field, 50% of their time depending on work flow is back at the shop working on projects. Field Services at times does have extended periods of time where they are gone and away from home staying at hotels close to the job sites. Usually doesn’t extend more then a 1-2 week period of time and typically only a handful of times throughout the year, the rest of the field work we do is fairly local and the crew is back by the end of the day
  • Must be able to follow instructions.
  • Proficient in modern welding techniques and equipment
  • Must be able to Field weld, repair, install and paint
  • Using wire and filler material applications for various steel fabrication
  • Using manual and power tools for finish grinding applications
  • Utilizing knowledge of various machines, welding practices, mathematics and building materials
  • Reading, understanding and following detailed drawings and blueprint specifications
  • Performing all job functions and using all equipment safely by following all safety policies and good housekeeping practices
  • Handling other duties as assigned within the scope of the position

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Metal fabrication experience, preferably in welding
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide inches and pounds, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to read and understand tape measurers and calculators.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand.
  • The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Work Environment:

  • Exposed to moving mechanical parts, chemicals, and heat (proper PPE & safety training will be provided)
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually loud
