Finance & Accounting Manager

Location & Work Model: On-site – Watertown, SD

Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Salary Range: $90,000–$110,000 annually, depending on experience, with bonus opportunity

The Role

The Finance & Accounting Manager leads the company’s accounting and financial operations while serving as a key member of the leadership team. This role oversees day-to-day accounting functions, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance while helping guide strategic business decisions. The position offers a combination of hands-on financial leadership and high-level collaboration with company leadership.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, and cash management
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and provide reporting to leadership
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax requirements, and regulatory guidelines
  • Coordinate annual audits and year-end financial processes
  • Maintain and improve accounting procedures and internal controls
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support operational and strategic decisions
  • Supervise and support a team of approximately 5 employees

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of accounting or finance experience, including leadership responsibilities
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and general accounting principles
  • Experience managing month-end close and financial statement preparation
  • Ability to lead and develop a team
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Experience supporting audits and working with external auditors
  • Familiarity with payroll processes and compliance
